𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 …
to the beginning of this year. All the positive thoughts and feelings exiting out of the most interesting year many of us have endured. Think back to the goals you set. And now it’s December…. If you’re not one to set resolutions, then this is for you. This is NOT about watching what you eat or drink. This is NOT about how much exercise you should be doing... This is about starting to create success for every day not just the holidays. So, in the spirit of now is as good a time as any, it’s baby steps forward! I’ve written in the past about 1° degree changes that when added up, can make a big difference. Why not set yourself up for some daily consistency BEFORE the holidays start. Today is all about 𝘉𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴. How to begin and end your day are so important. The 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 are all the things, may they be rituals or habits, that prepare you for the beginning and the end of your day. Tiny little habits you no longer have to think about. They’ve become…automatic. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘥 This is the opening chapter. It sets the scene for what’s coming. A morning 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘥 creates intention. My morning 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘥 focuses on water, fuel, organization and movement. Usually in that order. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘥 This is the end of the story. It’s the conclusion to a great read. My evening 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘥 brings closure. It focuses on a preset pattern that I try very hard not to default from. Winding down with NO PHONE around the same time every evening, reading and lights out. If you’ve ever started a conversation with me, you know I’ll go dark between 9 and 9:30pm. Consistency. A consistent good night sleep then sets you up for success the next morning to do it all over again. What do the 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 of your day look like? Take this opportunity to write out your morning and evening routines. Maybe there is room to make small adjustments to bring you more restful sleep, an easier start to your day or maybe even a new found way to add new routines for your physical and mental health.
