ALL JOGA SESSIONS FOCUS ON THREE MAIN COMPONENTS

1. POSTURES
• Postures are designed to incorporate power and flexibility while challenging balance and core strength.
• Specific anatomical cues are used to find symmetry in the body so it operates with higher efficiency and lower effort
• Postures and sequences address anatomical imbalances to reduce the chance of unconditioned muscles becoming fragile and compensating muscles getting tighter.
• Precise postures are included to build joint stability and improve joint mobility.
2. BREATHING
• These techniques are used to coordinate breath with movement as well as increase range of motion and unison of mind and body.
• Stretched breath control is used to maximize lung capacity and channel oxygen into the blood flow more efficiently while simultaneously releasing carbon dioxide and monoxide from the muscle fibers. This encourages injury prevention and enhances performance.
• Specialized breathing exercises are included to balance the left and right side of the brain (balancing sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems) and to elicit a calm state of mind.
3. RELAXATION
• Restorative yoga postures are used to encourage muscles, connective tissue and joints to release, which ultimately increases range of motion and longevity.
• Specific relaxation tools are used to encourage the mind to remain calm and nonreactive while the body is being challenged physically.
• Particular breathing techniques and phrases are practiced to calm the mind and ease any anxiety/pressure that comes with being an elite athlete.

JOGA FOR ATHLETES

JOGA was made for athletes! Joga is a neuromuscular movement system that bridges the breathing and relaxation from a regular yoga practice with the biomechanics of sport. It is different from regular yoga as it takes into consideration how athletes move, train and digest information. We use bone and muscle cueing rather than Sanskrit. The JOGA sequences focus on precise postures that help the athlete find symmetry in their movements. The sequences work on anatomical imbalances and increase power, balance and core strength.

Individualized and private small group sessions available as well as large team training sessions.
JOGA FOR HEALTH - The EDH

Are you The EDH?

You know, the Every Day Human just trying their best..

We take the best of our coaching segments and combine them to fit the needs of the Every Day Human! It can help individuals build strength and mobility into every day movement patterns. We focus on learning how to connect the core and how to use our postural cueing in every day life. Breathing techniques focus on relaxation and stress management. Sleep, pelvic floor, lack of mobility and many more topics are woven into our session conversations.
Joga is a program that is transportable, indoors and out. Individualized and private group sessions available.
JOGA FOR SCHOOLS

JOGA for Schools focuses on our FOUNDATIONS programming. It is made up of movement patterns we use every day. The queuing uses anatomical language that fits the Health and Physical Education curriculum, without using spiritual language. Perfect for lunch
time sessions, Physical Education classes and team trainings.
